Marco Johnson - Service Technician

Q: Can you describe what a Nissan technician's qualifications and daily performances consist of?
A: To become a Certified Nissan Technician first you must pass ASE testing, which stands for Automotive Service Excellence and is required for certifying automotive professionals. We continuously take online and in-class Nissan training; also Pennsylvania state emissions and inspection renewals are required. Properly repairing vehicles and making customer happy is what I considered to be my everyday responsibility.
Q: How long have you been in the technician field? How long have you worked for Porreco Nissan?
A: I have been in the automotive field since 1988 and I have been working at Porreco Nissan a total of 4 years. I joined this team because I felt it was a good opportunity.
Q: Describe how you feel about standing behind the Nissan product line.
A: Well, I owned a Nissan for 13 years before every working at Porreco Nissan. It was a very reliable vehicle! I bought it at 34,000 miles and sold it at 148,000 while still being in a good condition. Other than normal maintenance there was never any major repairs needed.
Q: What is your life like outside of work?
A: I like to spend time with my daughter and staying up on interests including motorcycles, muscle cars, and martial arts. I’m a pretty busy guy but time flies when your having fun.
