Six standard air bags always at the ready
The Nissan Advanced Air Bag System includes dual-stage supplemental front air bags equipped with seat belt and an occupant-classification sensors. Sentra also has front side-impact supplemental air bags built into the seat, so they move with you. In addition, roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental air bags help provide head protection for front and rear outboard passengers in side-impact collisions. 

Get help staying the course
In the event of emergency maneuvers while driving, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) reduces engine output and/or applies the brakes to specific wheels to help you stay on your steered path.

With a higher-compression lightweight engine, SE-R Spec V churns out 200 ph and 180 lb-ft of torque. The big-bore 2.5 liter engine in SE-R unleashes instant power – 177 hp with an enormous 172 lb-ft of low-end torque. A lighter-than-aluminum resin intake manifold, a 4-2-1 exhaust manifold and a lightweight high-flow exhaust provide easy breathing for both. 

Shift like you mean it
SE-R Spec V mixes triple-cone synchros and a dual-mass flywheel with aluminum pedal pads and grippy rubber inserts for shifts that are quicker and easier

Every SE-R features specially tuned vehicle-speed-sensitive electric power steering and sport-tuned springs. The SE-R Spec V raises the performance level even higher with sport-tuned shocks and struts, increased spring rates, a lower ride height, and a larger 25 mm front stabilizer bar.

With brakes, tires and wheels, that is. Fade-resistant stopping power is provided by 11.7’’ front brake rotors on SE-R and massive 12.6’’ front brake rotors on SE-R Spec V, The lightweight 17’’ aluminum-alloy wheels wear V-rated tires or W-rated summer performance tires. Their low-profile sidewalls are more rigid than the average tire, improving steering response.

SE-R Spec V was designed with a radical trunk-mounted V-brace and front reinforced upper cowl to squeeze maximum performance out of the sport-tuned springs, shocks and struts. Draw inspiring traction out of the SE-R Spec V’s awesome 200 horsepower with an available helical limited-slip differential.

Not when you’re behind this wheel. Both SE-R models come with Z®-inspired, dash-mounted twin pod meters. Easy-reading indicators feature an oil pressure gauge and a unique G-meter to display the acceleration and deceleration G-forces you’re racking up.
